Argentina’s love for Lionel Messi made its way onto the Miss World stage in Vietnam, where Alina Akselrad appeared in a custom gown covered in images of the football legend. The design followed his journey from childhood to his years at Barcelona and his greatest moments representing Argentina.

The dress paid tribute to Messi’s legacy with Argentina as he brought his 21 year international career to a close. His final appearance came against Benin on October 6, when he scored and recorded two assists in a 3 to 0 win at the Monumental.

It is hard to imagine a more Argentine way to honor Messi than turning his career into a dress.
